Hello VX220 People

I am looking for a decent VX220 NA or ideally Turbo for occasional track use - this wouldn't be my daily driver and would be safely garaged when not in use.  I am not a track God and so I don't want anything that has been heavily modified, but preferably a standard car that I MAY tweak (braided hoses, pads, tyres) if I decide to.

I have been keeping an eye on Pistonheads, Autotrader, eBay and here but would prefer a car that is 'known' to people as some of the cars advertised look a bit rough, and I am no expert!

All advice is most welcome.

Thanks

Steve

No reason to automatically discount Cat Ds (avoiding Cs I would agree with) - the key is evidence of the damage, evidence of repair and how long ago. If you went with Cat D you'd be right to seek a 'known' car but recent service/inspection by a known (and reputable!) specialist ought to give you some piece of mind. There's a few us not-a-million-miles away from you and you're just up the road from Back On Track in Guildford but be prepared to travel for the right car. Stating your budget might be helpful?

I have an immaculate car for sale on Pistonheads with everything done to make it a safe fast track day car. Both myself and the previous owner have spent a fortune on it getting it to this state, there aren't many in this condition.                 VAUXHALL VX220 TURBO 2006 (2006)              I had the car prepared but do not have the time to use it so it's sitting in the garage having not turned a wheel.

Hi I assume you've probably already seen my car already? https://www.pistonhe...---2000/7364258 It's an NA, not Turbo. Though it's had all its suspension sorted and chain kits replaced. All documented with receipts. Open to sensible offers Chris

This is a cracking car at a brilliant price. The modifications are spot on and not in any way overkill. And the car looks entirely standard externally. http://www.vx220.org...3/#entry1926432

Hi Rob First thing is to pay off the Wedding debt from last month, then buy a bigger house, then I'm after a Westfield I think. That or if I suddenly get rich, an S1 Exige :)
