I know it's annoying when people post questions that have been done to death, but the search yields no threads.

I've rebuilt my vx completely, and now I have the engine back in and idling beautifully, sadly the pedal does nothing. Have had the usual plugs off and on a few times and contact sprayed them (plus the one on actual pedal) but not a sausage.

When idling the throttle butterfly is twitching a little which suggests it's 'alive'.

The alarm siren isn't wired but that I assume wouldn't be anything to do with it (although I would appreciate if someone could send me a pic of the plug wires for the siren as mine has no plug body.

Now I am no electronic whizz, in fact it bores me senseless, but short of going I to full fault finding mode I'm not sure what to do. It ran fine and drove fine before I rebuilt, and the supercharger was fitted as I bought it.

Any ideas guys and girls?

Cheers!Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

you need to check the wiring connections on the black plug behind the coolant tank

Also a duff MAP sensor can cause no throttle on a SC car

Cheers Vocky. Bit fed up trying to fathom it and have sprayed the plugs with contact spray but the MAP could be a clue... Here's hoping! Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

always buy genuine MAP sensors, the cheap pattern sensors are rubbish

I once tested five pattern MAP sensors and only one worked :ffs:
