Hi all, I just wanted to share my quotes and hopefully someone will point me towards an insurer who can offer a better price

Until January, my NCD is used on another vehicle, so I need an insurer who will mirror my NCD  (15 years)

i have been in touch with 3 so called specialists and all the generic online quote search engines

£450 with direct line is my best quote so far, but they don't mirror NCD

I have contacted Henderson Taylor who would like £660, Need2Insure want £460, Aviva want £700

Interestingly, if I had 15 years NCD available, Direct line only want £245

Going to ring Adrian Flux in a minute

Any help or advice, needed and appreciated

Dave

Direct line will mirror if policy is with them - which it isn't

A few years back when I bought a second car I insured it with the same insurer (two separate policies), they mirrored the NCB, so although it was dearer in year one, second year I moved along with the mirrored NCB.  I think it was More Than but couldn't guarantee.

Bloody ridiculous

Any help / advice, direction to go, all welcome

I have just got a quote of £285.00 with performance direct, £250 compulsory excess

it was actually £248.65 but then £30 extra for legal cover added, then a bit more for declaring modifications

36 / 1 yr NCD on VX / 10+ NCD on other vehicle / 4000 mile SDP / Garaged / Tracker.

Have 3 cars all with differing NCB periods, always start with comparison web sites (confused.com and compare the market) the cost variations are massive. Don't ask for track day covers and no mods but rarely pay upwards from £250 for any vehicle. If you've not already done so, give them a try.
