I know it's been covered but I have type 1 diabetes and I have a 3 year restricted licence Went to get a quote today and henderson Taylor can't insure me because of this I'm also using my no claims on the family wagon So does anyone know who will mirror my no claims include track days and mods and be a reasonable cost thanks ad

There's a broker I've used in the past for "funny cars", they have always been helpful and currently insure my VX.

Footman James -

I used Footman James last year and I was paying circa £400 per year which I was cool with....

My renewal came through last night and it's now as near as makes no difference £800 !!!!!!!!!!

Phoned them up and nothing they can do so it's now cancelled and I am looking for someone else...

So I would check it if you are on a policy that renews automatically.

Gutted.

I'm with henderson taylor (past few years), but if you cant insure through them, CCI were fine too (was insured with them for 5 years running)...I think there may even be some classic car insurers who may be able to assist (footman james type).

if your car isnt heavily modded maybe some of the mainstream insurers (admiral) might be able to help.

all the best

Henderson Taylor is good for heavily modified cars, perhaps less so for standard cars. Mine is only £490 to insure, which is really quite reasonable considering the vast range of mods.

Hi Adam, I’ve also got type 1 diabetes and looking at getting my black VXT back on the road and insured - just seen this thread. Who did you use in the end for insurance and roughly how much? Mine will be road use only, low mileage, with slight mods... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
