I recently sold a Splam grille second hand with a cheeky genuine Steinmetz badge which made it impossible to tell the difference between the two. Steinmetz were £400 new and Splam copies about £155 new. But neither are made any more.

Still not fitted the grille yet Ken, still trying to build up the courage to take the front clam off 😀

there is no way of removing the V without damaging either the grill mesh or the V, the screws have washers bigger than the holes in the grill

I did it using a hacksaw blade to chop through the screws. Didn't actually take that long and no damage to mesh or V, just needed mole grips to extract the remainder of the screws from the V.
