Angel Nieto has died aged 70 following an accident on a quad. He won 13 world championship during his motor cycling career, I think all on 50cc screaming 12 speed Kreidler motorcycles.

Have checked the facts now and apologies for my memory. Nieto won his World Championships in 50 and 125cc classes, riding Derbi, Minarelli, Bultaco and Garelli bikes. He amassed 90 wins which places him third in the all time winners list, behind Rossi and Agostini. Apparently he was hit by a car whilst riding a quad, what a terrible waste. Another great competitor gone.

What a great shame, I remember him riding.
Another rider taken out by a member of the public (thinking of Hayden).
