My hoops are cut away, but my seats in the previous owners car looks ok.
Probax is just the padding. Usually applied to Lotus Motorsport seats (like in our vxr)

Pete did have height issues, so I guess they will need the headrest modifying like mine. However I had Dave the Trimmer modify them so I didn't bash my head every time I got in the car.

You can see here that the probax headrests are a little tall in the vx frames. I fitted a harness seat from a
Type72 also and that was the same.
Remove or at least thin down the headrest and you'll be fine though.
You could try to recline the seat frame by packing the front up with a washer, but I'm not sure if it would work in terms of keeping the frame solid, and it may not be safe. Just rip the headrests out

Thanks for your help pete-r, I think I will persevere with trying to get mine refurbished if new seats will cause me more of a headache.
