Am i the only person who thinks it looks hideous?

I like it apart from the front , headlights and intake do not look good . I think all the sketches in the mags made it look good from the front and the real thing is a bit iffy

Certainly doesn't look great IMO, and the interior is definitely hideous, resembles 1970s/80s cars. Might be better in the flesh but the pics so far don't do it any favours

I really like it, mainly for the spec sheet, as I couldnt care less that it doesn't looks as bizarre as some misty-eyed ex-Cerbera owners seem to be mooooaaanninng about.

 

As above, I'd still go for a 1,000bhp Ultima for that money

It's rubbish. Looks really Japanese and derivative of other cars, nothing distinctive. It is too wide, the exhaust coming out of the sill is daft, the wheels are really nasty and Halfordsy. At the launch they went on and on about the noise like it is the only redeeming feature.

And it's expensive.

Nev will approve as it looks like most of the time has been spent on the engineering side of things. The interior reminds me of the Noble m12 which really isn't good enough for today's market. The exterior isn't too bad but the front could be much improved. Makes you realise what a good job lotus did with the simple Elise interior.

I was there at the launch on Friday, the photos really aren't doing the car justice. The lighting was terrible and for some crazy reason TVR don't appear to have had professional photos taken prior to the launch so the ones circulating in the media are taken in the Earls Court building with the background edited out. 

 

It really is a fantastic looking thing in the flesh, i absolutely love it. It's a serious bit of engineering too, the fact Gordon Murray has has put his name on the side of it says a lot! The entire design evolves around the chassis, there were no comprimises when it came to that so i think some of the unique styling is down to that. From an estetic point of view it looks amazing from the rear, the ground effect floor / diffuser is very Ferrari F12. Not keen on the front but there aren't many cars that look good from every angle! Interior is lovely and really can't see what's not to like there. 

 

Cannot wait to see the reviews once there have been a few road tests. Bear in mind this is the launch edition with full carbon body that's why it's starting at £90k, future editions will be cheaper and I think will do well. There was a lot of hype at the event, i got talking to some of the TVR guys on the stand and they said they'd taken quite a few more deposits on the day! The performance figures they're quoting are pretty serious too!  i'd certainly take one over an F-type!

Just had a quick nosey on the internet about it, looks like it could be rather fast down a road. Gearbox can handle 700 ft/lb apparently!

I can only imagine a 1000+ hp ultima would take some time to tame and get used to and continue to scare you forever A recent outing in Dave Hardwick 400+ vx very responsive beastie reminded me just how good the vx chassis is....helped by the fact he can pedal well (I'm not a great pax and don't trust many) DG

Even 355mm rear tyres would be overwhelmed all the time.

 

4WD for over 500 HP - Lambo Gallardos are quite reasonably priced now and an excellent car by all accounts... or a Nissan GTR.

 

I just need to marry some wealth....

I think they look so dated, the side profile is OK but the rest....

 

For less money you can have a tuned version of the same engine in a newer R8. Yeah its an Audi vs a Lambo but I'd personally take the R8 every time as by comparison it is beautiful.
