Anyone getting Project CARS 2 tonight? I'll be playing on PS4 if anyone fancies an online race.

There's a lot of discussion on the Assetto Corsa VX group about PC2. I for one will be interested in your comments.

I'll be getting it on PC in a month or 2 just so any launch bugs can be fixed

I've read comments from people who have already played it and one comment suggests the game is a bit more forgiving than the 1st and the controls are a bit more easier to manage like Forza 6

I'm actually considering an Oculus Rift with this.

I've never had a go at PC1 let alone PC2 but I have been told that the physics are not very realistic but the graphics are amazing.

I've watched a few videos of people playing the pre release version of PCARS 2 and the physics look much improved over the first instalment. I'm a bit of a graphics geek too and it looks amazing!

Although I would love a proper gaming PC so could play in 4K, don't have the space / money for that!

I was interested in getting VR but not sure there are many options for console, Oculus Rift is PC only isn't it?

Yep PC only, pc2 has been developed with it in mind. Some of the vids look great.

From people i trust, pc2 feels just like pc2 with some minor tweeks here and there.. its a more forgiving driving modle than that of ac and rfactor. Graphics are better done, the lighting is great and the effects are really good. Apart form the rain drops just appearing after they get wiped away, they dont build up gradually.. and thats very irritating.

Hi, for those thinking of going down the VR route all I can say is I've been playing GT sport in VR just for a bit of fun and it's amazing , must be properly good on a high end PC , Bathurst is just brilliant, I'm now thinking of spending the money , just got to convince the misses that 2 grand for all the kit is not that much :( , I'm a big AC fan , the Cars feel just right so in VR that's gotta be the way to go , happy gaming

Ive been using VR now since oculus released the CV1, it has become the norm now and just playing on a monitor feels odd and strange.. I have since spent a couple of hours with pc2 and i cant seem to get the stability/traction hand of god off.. you can hit the inside kerb on some corners and your car tank slaps like mad yet if you just keep it pinned the car comes back and you carry on, it doesnt happen every time but when it does and you know what your feeling you can drive knowing its practically impossible to come off unless your just totally sh*t.. The day/night and weather effects are graphically great, sounds i think are ok-ish much better out there but the physics stuff just seem un-natural and hand holdy, the physics in wet weather and snow are a joke, over exagerated effect to make you feel like something is doing something.. Bah, wont be getting my money :) ill stick with AC

I don't like Pcars either, for me they've tried to make the cars fidgety as that's what people think cars handle like, I know it's all a matter of taste but I'm on AC for real feel and GTsport for fun and online , seems a mix that works well until Kunos get there act together and make AC2
