Have driven 16/17 wheels for a while and I think its working really good (most street but also track).

Bridgestone adrenaline 225/45-17  back

Falken Ziex ZE914 195/45-16 front

for next front-tyre buy I want better steering-response, the back feels pretty aggressive(nervous) on uneven roadsurface.

And make it harder for the brakes to lock up the wheels.

The cornergrip is a good match to the rear though.

stock shocks.

A good successor to my front is Nankang ns2r

but I have to go up to 195/50-16

and that makes the car almost has high in the front as original 17.

If I go for 195/50-15 it will be slighly lower than now instead of higher, and I think the tyre-area contact with the tarmac will be bigger by the look of the tyre.

its almost half the price for a 15inch instead of 16inch.

What do you think?

regardsMichael

You will be far from original height with 195/50/16 tyres:

quick calculation: 195 x .50 = 97.5

175 x .55 = 96.25   + 12,7 = 108,95

So you are still about 11. 45 mm lower

I did use a calculator, I dont think 11.45mm is low enough.

I have my original frontwheels left, I put them on to make the abs work for the car-inspection.

the car looks really high in the front with them and the tread deapth is about 1mm.

I thougt about 205/45-16 but in that case I need to buy new rims, I have 6,5 inch wide and that will result in weak sidewalls.

How wide is the Nankang NS2R, the tyre width with tarmac contact , is it close to the Toyo proxes 888?
