Yep, I thought it was excellent (liker of the original). Although two points:

 - I think it helps if you've seen (and understood the point) of the original film

 - Understand that while its visually stunning, and the music is also excellent (although it could never really match the original's Vangelis score), its not Transformers or other equivalent dumbed-down robot action flick with action all the way through..

Totally agree fantastic movie went to see it Saturday night and thought it was a great film and to lead on from the 1st movie was well done.. There were a few who left the movie early and a couple sitting behind me that thought it was crap...lol But i think they were expecting transformers style movie. I think the sound track was ok but could have been so much better but then as you say it was not Vangelis  lol And Hans Zimmer should have had far more input into the score than he did.

I really enjoyed it, despite the length it whizzed by. Loved the feel of the film they captured the original steam punk meets daft punk style brilliantly. I think it raises more questions though without giving spoilers away I won't mention details. While I understood what happened I'm still unsure how it all unfolded and what's relevant to who iykwim. Ps I really want a Joi!

You mean... "Cyberpunk", every genre has a name these days ;)

Not seen the movie yet but I need to!

I really liked it, doubt it'll last more than 2 weekends though. It's an A-level film studies tutor's wet dream 😁

I think this movie might not appeal to the 'transformer' type movie aficionados becaus so many of the scenes and interpersonal action between protagonists move at a very slow pace, which is obviously intentional.   When there's action there's action but the fact so much is slow and contrary to so many 'action' movies was for me a bonus.  So many movies these days have action scene upon action scene to the point of dumbed down stupidity.

Not a touch on the original. And poor taste to show Ford as a shuffling mumbling old man.

I felt the soundtrack was completely lacking.

I enjoyed the film greatly though and felt it expanded on the old film very well.
