Heya fellas,

Been meaning to chase this up for a while. Don't have a more specific pic handy, but found this amongst some other pics, and reminded me I needed to ask...

The two blue DIY wires sitting on the floorpan? They're terminated at an OEM loom plug, but I can't see what they'd possibly be?!

Ps, it's not the handbrake switch

Looks like it could be coming off the alarm LED at that connector. Unless it's spliced in somewhere else.

It's not the fan, as it's actually going back to an OEM two pin plug on the loom (small black pug you can see in the pic). Could be alarm related. At some point someone put in central locking with equally impressive wiring.

The only thing around there is the led and the handbrake switch.

Ok. I've got a massive mix-and-match of bits... and there's no trace of an LED on the centre console I've got (and the alarm has been stripped out too, just loom remenants remaining). Sorry if the question seems a bit dumb, but there's no intrinsic hints in the parts I've got ;)

Just popped out to the car. The 2 blue wires go to the handbrake switch.

The alarm led comes from a little black plug which has a black and a purple with violet stripe (this is for an NA, the alarm LED is in the stack on a turbo)

Cheers, I'll have a look at the loom colours. I'm pretty sure those two blue wires there will be for the LED then. The handbrake switch loom/plug I guessed from location/proximity to the microswitch. The chassis and chassis loom (about all I had when I bought the car) is originally an NA. All of the parts I've rebuilt it with are from a turbo.

the two blue wires with red crimp terminals are for the handbrake switch, the alarm LED plug is the plug with nothing connected in your photo (next to where the blue wires plug into the main loom)

B2 is the switch and H1.68 is the telltale Parking Brake
