Not enough room.

The seats are not in the middle of the car.

Passenger one is more to the left. (so is your console, and your interior mirror while we are at it)

Really?? But what  would happen if you take the driveseat of a Speedster (LHD) and mount it in a VX (RHD)? Will they hit each other when moved forward?

The seats won't hit each other, but one will hit the centre console.

The chassis bathtub is not rectangular but trapezoidal. You should make a comparison of the available space at the external side of each seat, with the driver seat fully pushed back (check distance to the chassis). The passenger seat has no room to be moved fwd .
