Hi All,

Got an issue with my alternator light flickering most of the time since SC conversion.  Think I may have left out a screw (like a few others  ) and need to get the alternator off.  Access is obviously an issue....  Any tips/tricks etc to get it off without removing everything?

TIA

Disconnect your battery first! (if that doesn't sound too obvious, the live is just very close to the manifold).

Also, remove two short bolts closest to the manifold first, the two longer bolts holding the alt and pulley bracket on.

The SC snout makes access more tricky from the top. As you'll have the belt off already, four bolts plus four throttle body bolts to remove.

I had the same issue with mine, tried to save some pennies and brought it of ebay..... Ended up getting a brand new bosch one in the end I'm sure it was the voltage regulator that was the problem.
