I had the original Audi engine S1 and loved it, tbh I was a bit disappointed with the Honda powered ones.

So what I'm starting with;

First job was to remove the Clam, so I did a fair bit of research, and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to do....should have done it before removing the B18!!!
Took 1hr 15mins from start to finish which I was happy about for the first time.

As you can see its a mess and one of my biggest things with the conversion is to make the car on the whole into a really nicely finished track and fast road car.
So I started stripping back all the nonsense and giving it a good clean...

I then had the fun job of scraping all of the adhesive away from the chassis and bulkhead.

Really pleased with it so far, will be now looking at re-making the bulkhead to give more induction space and implementing some gold heat reflective material to help the case (Also looks cool!)

In terms of the engine itself I'm always abit worried about buying engines out of cars. (even in cars too now )
So I decided to buy a whole Honda Accord Type S...I can then drive the car, make sure it doesn't use oil, smoke, rattle and is on the whole a good engine.
So I found a low mileage Accord and went to pick it up, ran beautifully and so a deal was done....

Seems such a shame to be breaking a car like this but the whole car was about the same as what an engine and box is anyway.
The engine is a K24a3 of which I will be removing the engine and using the Block out of this, the rest will be sold.
The rest of the engine will be taken from the following;

A stock K20a with a rebuilt head. I'll use this head, with a new genuine Honda Head Gasket, Oil pump, Chain and Tensioner and the shorter ratio 6 speed box.
I'll also try and source an LSD and 5.1 Final drive before getting the engine in.
Got a good deal on the following additional gauges which should come in handy of track;

Next thing to do is remove the engine out of the Accord, strip both engine and start the build, whilst making a new bulkhead in-between!

It's just further bracing to give the toe links mounts support, was on the car when I purchased it. I believe they need as much help as they can get so cant be a bad thing! DanIs that a rear anti roll bar across the toe links

Managed to pick up a few bits for the engine build, Firstly a RRC Inlet manifold and SKunk2 70mm throttle body, thanks Joe.
And also a set of Drag Cartel Drop in Camshafts.

Hoping both will help give some good gains over the standard items and are nice and easy to fit and tune.
