Hi all 

 

Is anyone kind enough to help me with a possible project.

 

I'm trying to find a supplier to reproduce the door waist seals and i could do with a pattern, does anyone have such a thing laying around in the garage, a heavily corroded one will be perfect as its probably going to be chopped up to provide profiles etc, happy to pay beer money or postage for one.

Apologies for not digging one out, slipped my mind. I have both but don't want to post a lotus one in case it goes missing. It's brand new so I'd need it taking care of. Have both sides and one Vx side. Pester me so I remember if you still need them.

Hi FLD Sorry forgot that you offered - really need to know the difference between the lotty ones and vx. Ie is the length same and is the only difference the inner seal is attached on the lotty one. The order I need to be able to fill is 400 units, 200 left 200 right and I need to be able to shift them obviously, so I need a solution that will fit both cars. Something like the lotty one comes with an inner albeit un attached. Pics of both would help if you can ? My intention is to make the inner from stainless so it's a fit and forget solution. I did but rather embarrassingly it got lost in transit to the supplier. To say I was annoyed is an understatement, to add insult to injury I cannot claim because I have no proof of original price or supply route. Not happy !! Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

Message me your number and I'll send some pics. There's not a lot of difference. You could make it Vx specific and trim a bit off for a lesser car.

I've been looking around for a while now for some door waist seals for my VX220.

 

If you got your production run made do you have a price yet for a set, O/S and N/S seals ?

I'm afraid I hit the buffers. Initial order of 250 sets seems a mission impossible at this point. Easy enough to get them made but a lot to shift. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

Spoke to Jon He doesn't see enough demand. Spoke to elise parts too, they want exclusivity and only want 60 sets at a time which is nowhere near break even. I tried lots of suppliers and only a couple would entertain it as there's lots of r and d to do 1st. Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
