I had an absolute blast popping my Blyton Cherry - two slight wobbles (1 at either chicane - 1 off road and one flattening a cone lol) - but was shocked to get black flagged by @Gagdet2.  When i found out it was for noise it made me feel a lot better - would have been dead upset if I was driving like a tool for the black flag.

As for fuel starvation, I have the pro alloy 62ltr tank and with an indicated 22ltrs of fuel left (I realise this means anything from practically empty to 42ltrs of fuel in the tank!) I was getting fuel starvation going round the 2nd blue cone at bunga bunga. I was pretty pissed off about that as i thought the pro-alloy was baffled and supposed to stop that from happening and I cannot believe I was going too fast (I am not a driving god).

Really good to meet some fellow VX'ers and thanks to the guys who joined me for dinner in the pub.  All the food looked great but the steak and kidney puddings were the best (found out the next morning the landlord makes his own!).

A lot of people like to slag off the VX220, but mine did a 700 mile round trip (I was not hanging around and todays return was all with the hood off in glorious sunshine - the top of my head looks like a fookin' red cone!) and around 5.5 hours blasting around the track as fast as I could pedal it and it did not miss a single beat!  To me, just shows what bloody great cars these really are and I when I got home tonight after a 5.5 hour drive I felt fine. No aches and stiffs - and as several of you will have seen I am no fit lightweight whippet!

Thanks again everyone. See you at the National I hope, but might have to go to India first for a fresh liver and kidney transplant given some of the stories over dinner.....

From my vantage marshal post at Ushers, I was able to watch the obvious differences from the VX to the Lotus fraternity. Visibly quicker even against the couple of V6 Exige cars that were there. But there again - I'm biased!

One thing I'm absolutely sure of, at the end of the day, the only cars left on track were Vauxhalls!

'Twas good to meet you all, even if I did have to give a couple of you the black flag - sorry.

Fairly certain I wasn't one of the quick ones  :D

Great day today, Zoobeef came down to lend a hand and have a chat. Learnt quite a bit and found a good bit of time by removing all my roll bars. Turns out roll means tyres stay on the road and more grip 👍
