Looks like an interesting (and far cheaper) alternative to the usual webcon.
I wonder what the performance difference is, as the GSXR engine is less than 1/2 the CC of the Z22... maybe they do some machine work on the TB's to enlarge them?

Looks nice at the first sight, but by the time you add ECU, sensors, mapping... to make it plug-n-play, the price is already comparable to WebCon.

Dont forget the bike rev's twice as high.

This would be great if you were to do it on the cheap, so add some really cheap ECU (megasquairt or VEMS) and then make it a proper DIY conversion. If you're paying someone to do it with high end parts you may as well buy a better kit.
I've used bike carbs and TB's on a few engine builds and they work really well and are cost effective. I built a Volvo 360 and put in a Clio 16v engine with a Williams manifold and GSXR 1100 carbs, was a great conversion and made ~160bhp.

£35

Then £30 in DCOE flange

lash in some pipe. Cheapy intake for carbs/"usual" TB's
Grab a DTA exp48 as its retro and should be cheap, or if you feel daring, one of the many semi producitonised megasquit setups, pikey win!

I was only wondering how are you planning to carry out the drive by cable conversion?

Webcon still sell the cable conversion kit for a vx220

I would keep the DBW throttle and butcher a TB to drive the TBs there are a few examples on you tube. You would just have to try and get obdt to work in Alfa-n all the time which could be tricky.
Any You Tube link to this!

I was going to use throttle bodies on my old car but went turbo instead. I do like the idea of throttle bodies and have not seen much on here about Megasquirt. The kit car guys love it and use it loads to convert. Might be my next years project once I finish the winter jobs.

Yeah, that seems like the best solution on internet. Before you linked that webcon kit, I thought that a solution with a servo linked to tbs and controlled by data from throttle position sensor. But at the end just replacing the throttle pedal and wiring the cable seems easier and more reliable.

Ms isn't used here because it's not expensive enough I've still got a 75% built ms unit sat in my electronics stash, only needs the ignition driver building and choosing the crank input. It's fairly old thoughI was going to use throttle bodies on my old car but went turbo instead. I do like the idea of throttle bodies and have not seen much on here about Megasquirt.
