Nothing major, but since buying the car a couple of months ago, I have a to do list
Bought a Milltek system - Needs fitting
Fancy getting several interior pieces water transfer printed - carbon effect
Swap the cd player for another which I prefer, would also like to work out why the speakers and tweeters don't appear to be very good sound quality
Investigate why the alarm sounder is not audible, fit the new sounder which I have bought
Install a crash camera and tracker
and eventually I need to get my OE seats re-trimmed
Probably post the exact same thing if you ask me in August 2018

In Switzerland you can get one set of licence plates for two cars, and you just swap them over. You obviously can't have both cars on the road at the same time. I have some quick change number plate holders on mine but they sieze up badly over winter if you don't regularly lube them. They are also badly corroded, and on my other car hold the licence plate so far away from the body that the light doesn't shine on it.
So I've just bought some new ones that are plastic so don't corrode, hold the number plate closer to the car and don't have moving metal parts to sieze up.

We really need a nutter to do compound charging.
I work developing engines and lots of ours are compound charged, i'd say there isnt any point on a VX unless you're going for crazy power levels, say 600 bhp plus. The negatives far outweigh any positives.
My winter project is done already, I cheated and paid Batman! I do have the digi dash to fit soon though.

In the middle of a forged 2.4L engine swap, LSD fit, subframe corrosion fix, back stays replacement, uprated fuel pump, new fuel lines, 2.9" SC pulley, new airbox and a boot mounted Mini Disc changer...
If Photobucket wasnt run by doodahs, there would be a few photos up about it

Full race build for me it currently looks like this:
Build a garage/work area like that!!! Probably hell of a lot smaller in my back garden lol with heat
All going well solid subframe bushes, stiffen chassis somehow, front castor adjusters, vxr rear beam, braided brake lines bilstein b6 or b8, bigger brakes to fit under 17s,
Make a way to fit the xev inlet and maybe make a start on building the leh block
all in a family sized vxt (Zafira)

Spent last weekend down south in Englandshire with Batman and Vocky. We (well, I say we, but all i did was get in the way and ask dumb questions like what's that, that's this, what does that do, etc...). We did a load of stuff to the NA including:
1. Stripped off both clams and bonnets
2. Fitted new proalloy radiator
3. Fitted new proalloy chargecooler radiator
4. Fitted a new supercharger (whine whine....)
5. Removed old fuel tank and fitted a new 60l pro-alloy fuel tank and a spitfire upgraded fuel pump (both Joe and Neil at this point remarked why others did not fit the 60ltr fuel tank as it was such an easy job.....)
6. Fitted extended wiring loom
7. Fitted new fuel rail and injectors
Was amazing to watch the guys work and see how quickly, efficiently and cleanly they finished up. We had a couple of hitches, but the experience and ingenuity to get over these was a pleasure to experience.
Car still down there as we are waiting for the ECU to come back from Holland and then for the whole thing to be tested.
My car was a 2001 NA, Cat C in 2007 with 56k miles. Both Joe and Neil remarked how clean it was under the body etc and thanks to the previous owner doing many upgrades (all clam bolts replaced with stainless, full suspension refresh including GAZ Gold adjustables) the job was made much easier with the clams in particular coming off and going on easy.
The bonnets both fitted perfect, first time - a first for the guys and testament to how well sorted VX220BOB had got the car.
Apart from a new heater, the car should be good and well sorted now for a couple of years to come and a couple of seasons on the track.
Not a cheap weekend, however, I'm sure she will be like chalk and cheese when I get her back. Final mod will the GARW 8" LCD which should arrive sometime this month.
