"Experts in open pit lane"

except when he does Goodwood and still advertises it as open pit, very sour experience with Opentrack and particularly David Woodhall the owner and his customer service, or complete lack of!!!!

My expierence with open track is if you wait until last minute to buy slots there a lot cheaper He reduces the cost just to fill the slots So always better to wait to last minute to book and save money

I seem to remember it was Opentrack at Brands where a Subaru went in the gravel at Paddock on the sighting laps and there were 4 red flags in the morning. The day was full of bellends in Subarus falling off

Think the Golf went off first on the first lap, of the sighting lap, then a Civic (which I was behind) then it just got worse! Golf on its roof, chaos and have kept clear since.

In comparison a Lot day held the same time in similar conditions all was good all day.

That was my one and only experience. Totally unprofessional. There are a few good operators such as javelin /LOT /MSV it's a pointless risk to take just because its cheap.

After Dave reduced the price considerably to a trackday I paid full price for ( before the track day ) he said he would look in to it on the day he just said he barely broke even on the day Wonder if all the stoppages were caused by the people buying cheap slots ??

Apparently, he paid heed to feedback and put prices up in order to cut the number of cars on each day at the beginning of the year.

Wow, you got a response, he ignored my numerous emails and phone calls about his "open" pitlane at Goodwood that was timed sessions with a maximum of 30 cars that was actually 38, two 15 sessions by lunch, the rest queuing, two sessions by 4, the rest queuing, Dave was nowhere to be found.

Sounds awful.

I was with someone from here who had booked a day at Castle Coombe a year or two back (not sure of the organiser). They had something like 65 cars trying to get on the track - loads of frustrating queuing. Must be highly annoying to spend the money on the day, take the time off, drive over, maybe get a hotel and then receive that sort of "professionalism" on the day. It wasn't until mid afternoon that the numbers had reduced enough to allow anyone to get on without queuing.

I complained about driving standards on the day to a group of staff that seemed more interested in eating the donuts they lay on and directly to the guy afterwards. Nothing. The briefing was ridiculous I had to ask them to confirm overtaking rules (the single most important thing) right at the end but everyone was already rushing for the band's so didn't listen. The day was utter carnage with the worst driving I have ever witnessed before or since.

^Sounds like the day I did with them. I wouldnt mind a no rules track day but the way open track do it is too inconsistent and the driving too unpredictable.
