First time out in the car tonight for a while just to give it a quick run round the block. Nice cold night so I thought id see what the 2.9 pulley had to offer. The below is on a quickly tweak base ignition map and no WI as I currently don't have a tank fitted. Loads of Knock again which I'm adamant is just false as the base ignition figures are so low. Tried adding a few degrees to see if it help but it didn't really.

Was pretty bumpy and cold so traction was a bit of an issue hence the graph.....

Block has been returned from having the liners fitted and the +1mm valves have also arrived. Carried out come initial prep work on the block but I still have a few more bits to do yet.....

I’m pretty sure you could take these block out to make a 2.6ltr. But let’s see how this one works out first 🤣

I like the look of those liners in a gen 3 block! Any specific info on these?

What sort of things are you doing to prep the block?

Mainly deburing all the oem casting marks and deburing the bottom of the cylinders from where it’s been bored. I’ve lapped the head face to ensure it’s owrfectky flat as well

Got the seats fitted today, could do with ordering a better spaced harness bar to suit these now but apart from that I’m pretty happy!

They got collected today, just couldn’t say no to these for the price and condition. Will also help offset some of the weight I’ve added

Been on the dyno today after fitting the new injectors and new base map. After some initial runs at 380/400bhp I was getting knock as expected so I plugged into the newly located knock sensor which is closer to the head and at the cam chain end. Results with mild ignition still speak for them selves. The clam has also been painted now on the inside, I can’t take credit for this as it was done by Luke who works for me. He’s done a great job.....
