Does anyone know if there are any hardtops around for sale, that were made from the same mould that Cliffie and ChrisUK etc made their "fastback" (ie hardtop + engine cover) from please? This is the hardtop with the largish central vent.

Also, does anyone know what the fixings of this is to the bodywork, ie are there any, or is it a case of DIY metal bracketery?

Thanks.

You can get rubber profile to fit or buy seal carriers and seals from lotus.

Thanks, but I'd only be needing the skin of the roof (not all the other bits), as I'd be chopping it up to suit my own function/design.

It's only a vague plan at the moment too, might do it next winter if I'm bored.

Thank Mark, but I'd only need the roof part (and not the boot-lid part), which I'd then need to chop up and modify quite heavily anyway. I've never done any serious glass fiber work (other than laminating my catamaran which was dead easy) so it's a bit of a daunting plan.

Are you not better off buying one of Jon's vented hard tops And modifying that ? The ebay option is still a good price as a copy

Just my opinion but I would have thought for the average punter Eltech Italia would be the obvious choice. It has to be lighter. You have all the parts in one box, assemble them during your lunch break and drive home that evening.

Creating your own hinges, fabricating parts and laying up glassfiber over a period of months is fine if you enjoy making things more than driving things. In Nev's case it might be different, he is clearly thinking of a major change to the design and just needs a basic buck to chop around.

To me at least the Holy Gale would be a fully hinged clam

Kindly, Paul

Does anyone know if this hardtop has the largest x-sectional mouth? Someone has told me that the Exige S2 cup roof mouthpiece might be larger...

If someone has either one of the above roofs or an Exige S2 cup roof and can measure the aperture dimensions that would be great... :)
