Sorry about this folks, the search function seems to have stopped working (for me at least).

I have two alarm fobs. One works, the other doesn't. I would like two that work so that I have a back-up for when the working one I have finally gives up. Vauxhall say they can no longer supply replacements.

Any suggestions on where and how I can get one. Abacus alarms seem to supply, but they need the unique 16 digit code originally supplied with the car on a red card..ring any bells with anyone ? I have my car ID card but that's it.

I am assuming others have been here before ?

Thanks.

Have you tried the following? "Yep, pressed the fob 16 times until it stopped responding, then pressed the naff one, then pressed the good one, waited 8 seconds and it was fine." Found here: http://www.vx220.org...arm-help/page-2 I have two alarm fobs. One's working and the other one is transmitting but doesn't activate/deactivate the alarm (At least I think it's transmitting because it seems to block the signal of the working fob if I press the non-working fob first and keep the button pressed while pressing the button of the working fob, which then all suddenly and temporarily doesn't work). So I'm gonna try what I quoted above :)

Can abacus recode your meta alarm to two new keys. Can't remember if they did this for me but it didn't cure my door bell interference so just bought a new meta T2 alarm with two new fobs from abacus.

I haven't, anyone tried this and confident it works ? I don't want to end up with neither fob working and the alarm re-activating next time I have to disconnect the battery for some reason..high stakes

They say they need a working FOB (tick) plus the 16 digit code for the alarm which can apparently (only) be found on a red card originally supplied with the car..(errr no tick).

Bit of a pain !

ps My door bell has an old fashioned wire connected to a button so no issues there.
