As it says above. I know its not the best circuit, I know it has silly noise limits and yes it has frustrating queuing system. I always know that and fight it but, the track is so close to me I end up giving in and signing up.

Be good to see some VX's there doing their usual, and treating Lotus's as attractive chicanes.

I'd like to do Goodwood one day, but with 98db static/96db drive by I think I'd be miles off on noise..  :(

Similar experience although i thought it was a fantastic track, which made it all the more annoying, best to go there on one of their noisier days which they do imho, Less cars and less likely you will be waiting in pit lane whilst they shut the track for 30 mins to average out the hourly db metre targets they need to meet.

God this country is sh*t, move next to race track and aerodrome and complain about noise and the worse thing, someone listens and does something about it.

Aren't they doing this thing now where the day costs a fortune but they include a posh buffet lunch? Soon they'll be saying you have to attend with your butler

That's correct, on the first floor of the Jackie Stewart pavillion. Puts about £30 on the price of the track day. On the "5" car days (ie the noisy days) they monitor the noise and if they can, they push out more cars per session which increases overall track time.

You'll be pleased to hear that the fella you had a heated discussion with, has moved to Blyton Park - I think you should book a day there!!

ah yes, quite right there are so many. He always reminded me of https://goo.gl/images/57YQgL - don't no why. Oh and he clearly knew less about mechanicals than me as he called superchargers 'whizzy things'.

It was a fortune anyway if you ask me, i think the day i did was circa £325, i guess thats what you get for being part of the Goodwood Estate, fos and revival.

I really enjoyed the track and would do it again, if like the op, you knew you could get some decent track time, when i went i had done 4 session by 3.30 and had to drive carefully round two of the noise metres, i gave up and went home at that point!

The one time I did it I thought it was a great track, very fast with little run off, makes for an exciting time :) I'm not available or I'd do it.

As a typical man I can only concentrate on one thing at a time and have been busy with other things :) Car's not moved since I did Silverstone in November, I'll probably get things going in April.

Of course there are other (and probably more accurate) ways at looking at it

Pleased to say Steve I am is coming now, so just need to make sure I'm never on track in front of him.

Martin

Am I the only one flying the VX flag then?

Martin - if its wet/damp I'll be chasing no-one - I suspect otherwise it could all end less than well...
