Not used Harrys so no idea what it can do. But Race chrono seems pretty good with session and sector times. I have compared it with the stop watch and depending on weather its within a tenth or two. Good enough for track days and plug ins are available. I also have the track plug in for Torque OBD which has some really good features and data is exportable. Not played with this much yet though.

I use:

- Racechrono

- A qstartz 10hz bluetooth GPS thing

- GoPro hero 3

- Race Render software to put it all together

It's a bit fiddly making sure it's all charged up/turned on etc. and I suspect Harry's laptimer is an easier/better option (if you use the iPhone camera). I like the android route as I have a dedicated phone just for data logging. I might even wire it in to the car and make a mount on the dash so it's always there and ready to go.

What don't you like about Harry Lap timer?

Its fine but I bought all that stuff four years ago I expected there would be exciting new stuff now. I have my spare iphone stuck to the parcel shelf behind the passenger seat with a short cable to cig socket.

I've been looking to get a similar set up type of set up. Is the OBDlink used to keep an eye on the engine or does it link with the Harry's lap timer?

Harrys can use it log data from the obd port. RPM, speed, temperatures etc.

Makes sense! I might have to invest in a set up like you've mentioned. Thanks for the info!
