Sorry, i know that this has been talked about a lot before and i don't want it to turn into a debate as to whether or not a child seat should be fitted into the VX, but does anyone know which currently available Group 2/3 car seat fits the VX?

My eldest is now 6 and still hasn't been out in the VX, but keeps asking to. I also have a 4 year old i would like to take out in it.

The last thread i can find was a few years ago and all of the seats that were mentioned were group 1 (Recaro Young Sport has been mentioned quite a bit), or have since been discontinued....

You need one with quite a narrow base.

This was the only one i could find (and was also mentioned on Seloc) about two years ago.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Britax-Römer-KIDFIX-Group-15-36kg/dp/B0162236XW/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1522670796&sr=8-2&keywords=britax+romer+kidfix

it fits fine in the vx and exige with my 5.5 year old.

Thanks James.

That looks like it has isofix. Does that not cause any issued when fitting in the VX seat?

I have the recaro young sport which I had to remove the tilt adjuster so I could get into 2nd. Fits very well but I think it's discontinued as you say, could look out for 2nd hand one?The isofix ones have quite bases from what I've seen, best bet to find a toys r us if they're still open and test a few. They won't let you return it so need the vx with you.

Nope, thats the other good thing about it. Isofix for proper car which retract into the seat just enough not to cause any damage on the vx seat.

Hi, I have the young sport and the Milano. The young sport I couldnt get to fit in the vx, the Milano fits just right. Been taking my eldest out since he was 4, no problems.

Been out to both Demon Tweeks and Halfords today.

Tried quite a few seats including the Young Sport, Milano, Maxi Cosi Rodi and Britax Romer.

However, the Britax Romer was a cheaper model than the one shown in the link above, but the base looked very similar.

None of them except the Young Sport fitted correctly. However with the Young Sport, the tilt adjust knob sat right under the handrake which would obviously cause an issue.

The main issue with the rest of the seats is the fact that there is a good few inches gap at the back of the seat.

With those mentioned above, do you get this gap at the back too??

Remove the tilt adjuster as I did, fits perfectly without it.

How did it remove? Did it just pull out? I did have a sneaky pull in the shop but it seemed like it was stuck solid!

I may have an older version but when it's titled back as far as it goes you can wiggle it out, it's not very easy to get out but there's no need to unscrew anything, it's one plastic piece.
