Just a quick note and I am sure that many of you will be aware of this.
My car failed the MOT as the dip switch did not operate satisfactorily. I rang up the local Vauxhall dealer who wanted £72.30 for a replacement (not fitted), so I took a risk and bought a new one on ebay for £6.99 (freepost).
Now, I like to do much of my own car repairs but this defeated me as it is not simply a case of removing the plastic shroud; the steering wheel has to be removed prior to. Because of the air bag I was a bit reluctant so asked my friendly garage man to do it for me. He charged me £52.00, and all now works and passed the MOT.
Another year of driving pleasure ahead!
