Rear Subframe Re Galvanising

has anyone had there rear subframe re galvanised?

 

would like to refresh mine while off car but dont want to paint / powdercoat so was thinking if it was

possible to redo coating or if anyone has done it on there subframe.

There was one in a project thread . Hot dipped it.

Is there a downside to painting it? Something I'm hoping to get apart soon and I was just going to go at it with Hammerite 'direct to galvanised'.

I cleaned mine up and sprayed it with some zinc galv spray https://www.screwfix...er-400ml/40801'> https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-zinc-galvanising-spray-paint-silver-400ml/40801

I then sprayed it with some high temp silver so it looked a bit more appealing.

Seems to have held up ok so far.
