Will a Z20LET and F23 with Quaife LSD and Helix 6 paddle clutch from an Astra GSI go straight into the VX220? Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

the vx220 uses the astra engine and box, for both cars - turbo and 2.2

You will need to use the vx220 wiring loom and ECU

And the Quaife LSD is for a fwd car, not rwd. But I don't know how much of a difference that makes.

I'm not sure what the difference is in the split point of torque between the FWD and RWD version is... Quaife don't mention it on their website as far as I can see.

In practice, I doubt there is much difference between the two versions and 90% of people wouldn't notice anyway.

As extra info, for road driving I'm not completely convinced that the Quiafe ATB actually contributes more than it takes away, as you lose some of the ability to provoke oversteer with the accelerator. In return though, you can put more power down safely whilst on a corner, and it tends to give the feeling that the car is 4 wheel steering in my experience.

I always thought the ATB diff is more suited to FWD cars, which is why I have a plate LSD in my vx220

Which plate LSD you have in your VX ? It is quite difficult to find something else than a quaiffe for the VX.

I don't know really, I've never driven a plate diff'ed car. I suspect that reading marketing blurb and actually driving cars with each of them would differ. Also on a plate diff the angles cut on the clutches dictate the slip point, so that would have a bearing on things I'd imagine.

Not really...

For the F23 there are options available.

I use a drexler lsd since several years now.

Vocky has a m32 gearbox with the lsd out of a corsa vxr I think.

I run a quaife ATB in my VX. They aren't as 'aggressive' as a traditional friction LSD.

The thing you might want to check on the gearbox is the code, Vauxhall made loads of different versions of the F23 and some are more suited to our cars than other EG close ratio or wide ratio, short or long FD.

Search on here and you will find a full list of all the codes as many have swapped out the gearbox before you.
