To be blunt the 2.0 B207 SC feels "less" than a same spec z22se SC and the 2.4 feels "more"

Can I add my 2p and caveat that a little (as effectively I've tried all these combo's in the same car with virtually the same parts over the last 3 years).

Broadly agree, although the difference in performance is primarily in available torque in the sub 2-2.5k rpm range. Below this, the larger capacity (and higher comp) engines feel meatier, which makes sense, but as the SC starts to get into its stride, the difference really feel negligible, certainly on the road.

Again, its a bit of a sliding scale on response, 2.0 feeling more responsive, 2.4 feeling lazier and a touch slower to rev towards the red-line (certainly not too bad though). Again makes sense as the crank weights go up as does the stroke!

I'll throw in my 2p for torque

2.2 SC with stock head and cams, could pretty pull away even at low revs, pretty much an automatic. But didn't like to rev up high all that much. (well in comparison to below)

2.2 SC with Stg 2 cams, it shifts the torque range up enough you can be caught out and can bog down. But once it's above about 3.5k it's like sh*t off a stick :D

personal opinion, and I'm the sort of person who doesn't like revving the tits of their engine (ie don't like vtech motors)

I agree with Ross
The cc really adds the grunt feel and torque

But I would say the 2.0 makes good power easily but it really feels weak
Not sure about how much quick it spins up compared to 2.2 but the 2.4 does feel a bit lazy in comparison

Maha dyno always gives a weird wheel bhp that should be ignored.
It's roughly 17% less that is wheelpower, so 290.

so its an engine dyno? hows is the engine figure correct, and the wheel figure wrong?

No, the MAHA is a double roller brake-dyno and is said to be quite accurate and used by many well established car tuners.

(probably the double roller is why the wheel power is reading so low)

I had my 'standard' 2.2 Stage 2 SC Speedster on that dyno and it gave 249.8HP on the engine. It's pretty accurate...

Hello,

can someone tell me the internal difference between the b207l and b207r at Neobrothers.

I want to know, because of my new Supercharger Engine build.

I think difference are only the cams ? Right ?

Correct. The only mechanical differences of importance (on the Neo Brothers supply) are the cams, which you will change anyway..

Correct. Thanks.
That Sounds good. The b207l is much cheaper.
