Did our first track day in the car at Blyton a couple of weeks ago. Great experience and the car just came alive. One problem we both had was the hard rev limiter with the Dutch software. With so mutch to think about on track, it was easy to forget the revs and hit the wall that the hard rev limiter applies. Is there a way to have a soft limiter that would be more of a reminder than a hinderence? Plan is to fit a shift light, set to a litlle below a slightly raised software limiter, but it would still be nice to have a softer ultimate limiter. Rev limiter is currently set to 6,800rpm, to be safe, but the engine is stiil gaining power there, so easy to forget up changes, in the heat of the moment!

You could try contacting Peter for a Request For Enhancement, by maybe using the eml as a notification at a lower rpm.

Untill then you are stuck with a shiftlight.

Rev limiter on standard internals with the correct injectors should be ok at 7100 rpm

roll off the ignition timing at the top rev range

Not really a good idea to increase revs to much then Blue vxr are ideal for upping Rev range Don't let duty cycle over 90% and ideally 80-85%

Nothing stopping you from performing a logging session with a higher rev limit (7100) and see if the lambda drops off at WOT. Then set RPM accordingly

:yeahthat:

I had no problems with my old stage 2 @ 6800rpm on the black Z20LET injectors (249 Bhp and Lambda 0.8 till rev limiter...) The green LSJ's flow 11% more fuel, so you should be fine at a higher 7100 rpm limit, but always good to check the O2 values at max rpm.

(Even better with a wideband. An do a WB learning session for the high rpm regions.)

And as said, you can lower ignition towards max rpm to lower the power there. ;)

Thanks guys. Backing off ignition sounds like a plan, but a shift light will be added asap. ........oh, and blue injectors. 😀

Keep in mind that when switching to blue, you need to convert the connectors from EV6 to EV1.
