I’ve had the race logic traction control fitted some time now and not had any problems with it at lower speeds. Just recently at lower speeds below 30mph it’s started to kick in. Anyone else found this to happen even with one of CS filters fitted?

Could you be getting a dodgy / intermittent signal from a wheel bearing pack or sensor wiring..?

Could be a possibility and if anyone can shed anymore light on it will be great.

I would of thought that if I had a wiring problem then it would be happing all the time.

I looked at my RLTC signals with a scope a while back when we were debating the need for the filter and found some signals very weak (theres a thread around somewhere). I changed all four hubs, they were pretty cheap, tried again and I was getting good strong signals from each one and no low speed activations. I did build a filter as well afterwards, but I'm not sure it's needed.

the only thing I can think is that brake dust might have collected and built up in the abs ring causing a smaller peak to peak signal.

also had a look at your website, very interesting!

Dave Hardwick has some experience with this, you could possibly try contacting him.

New hubs were fitted last year and if that’s the case then it’s a pain if I have to keep cleaning it. Just surprised it’s only happend to me. Is there a way to switch the traction control off under 30 mph so I never have to deal with this problem again?

Did you ever solve this?

My ABS outputs were looked at yesterday by Emerald with a view to using the signals to feed into the ECU. Unfortunately the signal was very noisy and unusable. So I am looking for another solution to getting clean wheel speed signals.

Hi Simon, here are the details of the filter the .de guys made for the the RLTC, its pretty easy to build for around a fiver if you want to go that way. I've put the rest of their instructions here: http://www.nelsonste...celogic-tc.html

I know its not the same system as you are using, but it may be interesting to you.

No it didn't and hasn't done it again so can't really offer any advice tbh.

Do you have the LCD display for the RLTC?  If so it can display the signal from each wheel, so if it happens again you can check the display and see a drop out.
