Good Morning all,

I have been toying with the idea of getting an exhaust for my vx for a while now. Have looked a lots of different options and every time i keep thinking VSE is the better option. The car is a standard NA with Induction kit/ K&N cone filter.

Id like the car to sound a bit nicer, pops and bangs on overrun if possible.

So i was thinking that if I had the specs for the VSE i could have a similar one made from an exhaust specialists? I understand that the VSE are prone to rot also?

What exactly is the VSE? a full system? or just after the pre cat?

Excuse my Ignorance on this! just wishing to know more options before i take the plunge!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks again,

A small back box at that. It's about 5" dia by 28" long and straight through. Sounds lovely on an NA

that is perfect! :) thank you so much for that. I have never heard one, but have heard they are meant to be fantastic. I take it the difference in comparison to the standard one is that its straight through?

Thanks again!

There might be a group buy in there!  Why not ask for a price for 6 or 10 off in stainless...……………?

Seemingly if you can get 5 folk together they will do these as a group buy - apparently similar to the VSE but stainless

I looked into stainless repackable ones and was quoted 550 each. That's inc bend but not a cat. Got no interest so obvs didn't get any made.

The VSE is mild steel and almost all have rusted away by now. I'd suggest fitting a Larini instead, it can be bought new and is stainless steel - won't have to replace it in a few years when you develop a hole in the U bend or the tips fall off

If you have a look at my thread in the project area, one of my first posts is the new VSE I managed to get a hold of.

It will give you an idea of what the system looks like.

I’ve got a vse and love it. Only got surface rust as it is well garaged, but may maintain it this year.
Sounds even better now I’ve fitted itbs!!!

If designing a new version I would make it 2.5” to cover SC and NA application.
