I have owned by 2.2 for 4 years now, and driven it 3 times. The second outing resulted in near destruction for  a pot hole on a corner. ABS, Speedo, fuel tank, sender unit, fuel pump... and many others were hit. 2 years of investigations and incompetence ensued. Finally, Vauxhall fixed the issues by a long process of elimination. 24hours later and its written off in a 5mph collision with a female ogling taxi driver paying no attention to where he was going or what side of the road he was on. So now, I need a front clam shell. Where is best to buy one? I'd prefer it in blue to avoid a respray, but I do need some filling and painting to my doors (pits have appeared in the paint, through to the fibreglass).

Any recommendations please? I'd love to get this thing working after the years of money and pain already spent!

I'd have found it difficult to keep my cool if that happened to me!
Hope a clam turns up soon for you and there's no chassis or suspension damage

Hi, it is just the corner thats damaged.  I'm not sure how to go about getting it repaired, all the local body shops didnt have a clue where to begin.

that will be easier/cheaper to replace than repair, the side structure has been compromised.

used clam on ebay £700 - https://www.ebay.co....kgAAOSwUsxbH3sh

paint and fitting will be a similar cost

Brilliant, thanks. I need to sort out the bodywork elsewhere anyway. A few holes and bubbled paint. It will be as good as new soon (or dismantled and abandoned)
