Hi

We are going to make a custom batch of braces for the VX using a new piggy back design and also the older sub bracket design.

As there is no standard for the fitting due to a number of reasons namely the exhaust type and positioning, each kit will be made to order with the collet sizes and associated bolts needed for each install.

If you are interested the plan is to email a Brace Fitting Guide BFG  :)  explaining exactly how the brace works and what you need to do to check if the brace will fit your car at all and if so what options you need to order.

This will be left up to you to determine as we do not have time to personally talk through each one so you will not see the normal level of customer service at this stage.

If you are happy the brace will fit and wish to get one then you can order one over the next week and a half. After this the deal will close so we can start manufacture, you will be able to purchase braces  in due course but not at the reduced price.

The deal is the piggy back braces will be £145 +del and Vat, the normal retail for these will be circa £170. A large proportion of the cost is in the bearings as the design criteria is to fit and forget (the reasons why the braces will not be hard mounted in 2D or 3D is explained in the Brace guide).

Prices for the sub bracket option will be promulgated in due course as we need to price a few bits yet.

We will require a deposit as each one is custom assembled, probably about £80 which is high enough to make you think seriously before ordering  :)

Production and finishing will be about 4 weeks after the deal closes but If you are in a hurry please let us know during ordering.

That's it.

Message if you wish or email to spitfire.engineering@gmail.com

Please supply an email address to send the pdf to.

Please READ the PDF before asking any questions which are probably answered in the PDF!  :)

:)

Gaz

if you bring one down with you when you visit, there is a chance that we might be able to check to see if it fits a full 3" 2bular and a 2.5" tullet system thumbsup

Not necessarily, though at the moment I'm not sure if they will fit other brackets and may need different collets...

There is no answer as such as even the same exhausts can vary a bit and can also be held in other positions by using different hangar rubbers etc. also by moving backwards the brace takes up a position that is normally where the undertray sits (this will be lowered) so it's unlikely the exhaust will be in the way.

I’m interested.

Am I missing something though as I see no PDF?

Was hoping to see some photos to see how this would work / fit?

Ta Tom

Biggest issue I have with this forum is the bloody handles and no real names on the personal page!

I sent an invoice out last year to wazzerheadboy (I changed it to protect the person involved) before I was sent a real name   :)

This may show a woeful lack of understanding but... I have a Toe hook that braces the two subframe legs using the M8? OE holes for the diffuser...

1) Can this help?

2) Can this cause issues?
