Ladies and Gents what’s next to get > 300 bhp?

My current spec:

52k standard vxt engine
Vxr turbo
MMG large intercooler
Courtenay sport intake with elbow
Piper cross panel filter
Helix 4 paddle clutch
Lightened flywheel
Angel tuning map
De cat pre cat,
Miltek centre with 200 cell cat
Larini back box

Now it’s never been on a rolling road so I don’t know the power level it’s at currently but what’s the best mods next? I have a set of vxr injectors ready to fit. Not sure if I need to go to vxr hybrid turbo of some description or K06? What do people advise? The intake bits are 70mm I would assume.

Charge cooler

Fuel pump

Injectors

Cooler plugs (iridium 7 probably)

I don't know when the 70mm intake pipework/MAF and 2.5 inch exhaust become a limitation, but would imagine you could get 300hp with current setup + my list above.

K06 turbo (or just a bigger compressor wheel) + injectors + remap = 350 HP. You have to make sure you keep the torque down < circa 330 ft/lb or your rods will die.

If you want more power than that then it becomes expensive in time + money as you need to build a new tougher engine.

no change as the turbine is same

I would remap that with the VXR injectors and aquamist setup.

Just fit a hybrid CHRA with your choice of compressor wheel , or go bigger and get a machined housing.

I would not want the aquamist...  I use it as a daily and find myself at wide open throttle allot :-) I don't want to worry about water/meth and it running out all the time.

3 inch exhaust, poss bigger intake and map. See how the mmg cooler performs and injector swap poss vectra larger maf also on intake

Map see how the drivabilty is also, next steps get more expensive in the scheme of things

What’s the lag like on a K06 turbo?

Almost non existent, particularily if you have OEM cams that are desperately trying to induce low RPM torque as well.

Intercooler wont work

me and Dave having been working on this style setup for ages. Biggest intercooler helps but still no good for a 300bhp car, stage 3 max!
Basically I would do what Siztenboots said.
Also you wont go through that much water injection on the road. I only done 25L in a year LOL. Track use yes, but a 300bhp car on the road you wont be on the loud pedal for more than a few seconds before you run out of road or another car gets in your way

The only way for a true 300bhp is meth or charge cooler.

You will need a 80mm MAF and VXR injectors.

Inlets will be too high to hit a genuine 300bhp.

To get over over 300bhp you will need a 3" exhaust but the 2.5 should achieve around 300bhp

What about if you've only got the standard intercooler?

For a 300bhp build would you go chargecooler or water injection?

Pro alloy cc, job done. Fit and forget other than check levels etc with rest of the car

Charger cooler if you can afford it

if you cant water injection with std intercooler should be fine
