Looks like my alternator has just shat itself. Does anyone have a 100A one suitable for a SC fitment? Or does anyone have a part number/know how much a new one costs? Cheers

FWIW I have the same problem, and I plan to take mine off and have it refurbished. That way I don’t have to do the mods and I know it’ll fit back where it came from. And it’ll work like a new one and only cost the same as a used one...
Just a thought..

I just googled Alternator Refurbish and it came up with someone local. As well as national services you can send it to.
Seems to be more popular than I imagined. Good luck with it - first step is to get the damned thing off. I’m hoping to attempt it tomorrow.

Couldn’t be bothered with the faff in the end and got one from eurocarparts today. They’ve got 37% off and I know it’s gonna be a good un. All fitted up this afternoon and working normal now

Nice! I didn’t realise they fitted straight off the shelf - I thought the usually needed modding to fit.
Did you need to do anything to get it to fit in?

Yeah I modded it as per the one that I took off... Straight fit to an NA, a bit of Dremelling for the SC. Only takes 20 minutes and is one of the easier steps compared to getting the thing out without taking the intake manifold/SC off. Pretty much a straight swap otherwise.

Aahh, that makes sense. I’ll have to have a proper look once it’s off.
