A quick introduction of myself to the site after a few weeks of lurking!
Thanks to some solid advice and guides on this site I have managed to pick up a 2005 2.0 Turbo last weekend. She is a very clean yellow example with 21k miles on her, but as she has been off the road for over three years I have a bit of work to do to her to get her to where I want, the first being the erratic rev counter and doggie LCD display which varies from nothing to lots of square blocks depending on her mood
It is just a weekend car but i normally do one European trip and about 10 track days a year and a good bit of “pottering†around mountain roads when time allows.
I have come from a 2ZZ mk3 MR2 and before that an e46 M3 convertible and am really looking forward to seeing how the VXT compares.
Once again many thanks to all on the site for the great advice in helping purchase the Car and as soon as things get moving I will start a thread on its progress
Bye for now!

Welcome to the club
Is the VX standard?
Will be different to the M3 but with the fun factor of the MR2 with more power and guts.

Yes she is very standard...but probably not for long!
The M3 was very special, thrashing it in Spa being the highlight
The MR2 was good, but not fast enough even with a 2ZZ
Cant wait to push the VXT and see what it is all about!

Stage 2 on a turbo is a sweet spot and feels alot better than standard trim.
Best to get used to this setup before going stage 4, but stage 4 is certainly fun

Compared to a VX it's a bus, however I would rather do a long journey in one lol.
Stage two turbo is just right for the plastic go kart, it's cramped, it's noisy but as a weekender opening the garage always makes me smile. Enjoy

Welcome mate. Those digi displays can be pricey and hard to get hold of unfortunately. Last time I checked, owners had trouble setting the correct mileage too when replacing.
Enjoy the car though! Great fun
