Funny question, but how much is a replacement front/rear windscreen, and side glass? The reason I ask is that the insurance I'm taking out for my new VX220 has a huge difference in premium for just glass cover - £110 difference for me.

Front screens are huge money. Over a grand for an insurance paid job. Rear screens probably similar as it's difficult to get to. Side windows are easy, plenty of secondhand ones around. I must have chucked out half a dozen

FWIW Autoglass did my windscreen on insurance for the £75 excess - then tried to charge me the whole amount 12 months later!
But the whole amount was about 340 or so...

Cheers all. I've decided to plump for glass cover, although it's limited to £1,000.
