I have owned my VX220 since 2005;  the car and I are now both thirteen years older than we were.  I am sixty years old, which did not seem that old until Thursday.   I was on a crowded train to Sutton Coldfield.   I was standing, and a woman kindly offered me her seat!   This made me realise that, not only am I old, but I must look old!!

Am I the oldest owner of a  VX220?   Does anyone know the age distribution of the membership?    Am I too old to own such a car?  If so, what should I purchase?

Wishing you all a happy Christmas and safe driving in 2019.

Crack on tearing up the roads mate. I won’t give mine up until I literally can’t get in (or out) of it. I’m 45. My knees and back however are around 73.

Does 32 make me one of the youngest? I'll blame my age for my shitty driving skills 😁

And if you ever have been in a car with John, he would put most of us "youngsters" to shame, can only hope i am half as quick at 75  :tt:

I bought mine when I was 21. ...14 years ago.

My wife says I look too old for it now :( (I think that’s looks related rather than age )

I think it’s so that she drives it.

I’m 32 so I was still at school when my car was built. Great to see people still enjoying these in their 70s

Bought my first turbo at 23 and now 33.

Joe bought his first at about 15, he's still only about 22 now.

I don't like to think about it but I was 71 a few weeks ago. Still playing tennis 3 times a week, golf twice and last week even played squash. As I am in the mist of a mid life crisis I bought my VX220 n/a in august of this year and have enjoyed every minute of it. Just about managing to get in and out of it with the roof down... Had a lovely meal with the east midlands owners last friday in Newark. Really looking forward to next year

Have a good new year everybody

Bought my vx in 2012 (59K) when I was 53 and I still have the vx (65K) and I'm 60 in January. No plans to get rid until I can't get in to it.
