Very surprised that lotus has none of their exiges running on chargecooling.
Are we looking at your car Peter?
So a harrop 1900 based kit as competition to a komotec 460 kit?

Due to cost and speed of delivery to market I expect.
If the engine can make 400 HP (or whatever it is) just once, so they can publish 'high' power figures then they are happy. They don't give a monkeys (and no doubt many of the buyers don't even realise) that in sustained driving creates heat and that their power is going to significantly drop.

Yes it is my car (exige 360 cup), lotus have just started to offer charge cooled cars with the exige 430 cup but even that doesn't make 411 bhp at hubs and costs silly money.
In comparison to komotec 460 kit this should be better, more torque, more power than komotec 460 and I suspect won't cook as quickly as komotec on track.
All good in theory, we will see when it's let loose on track, certainly drives alot stronger ☺

Can you measure inlet temp via odb Peter? (using a phone app)
If so, would be interesting to see what it does on a track day.

Your dam right Nev, most lotus owners think the basic V6 is fast and maybe for them it is, but I was left wanting more from the beginning. Heat issues on track because of no charge cooler also added further to my frustration, so for me this was the way forward however I understand it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I,m certainly alot happier.Due to cost and speed of delivery to market I expect.

Could also explain what's going on here. (Besides not using the launch control the S has, and a captain slow at the wheel)

I would assume so as I have inlet sensors on my car (they don't normally) I know motec guy took all that data in the past it's just I'm no great techno wizzo so don't know how, but if my old vx odb reader works on this car and it offers the data to be viewed I could do that. Can you measure inlet temp via odb Peter?
