Who can guess the issue from this video. strange tapping noise.

 

Vocky manged to diagnose the issue by looking at the video a while back...life saver top man thanks! saved me a lot of hassle.

Clue...the tapping hydraulic sound seems to come from within the engine, the head itself.

Spark plug it was! happened on the way to the MOT garage when i had the vx.  Garage wanted to take the cover off to see what was happening inside.....decided to drive it back and ask the real experts :0) so happy to find out it was something so simple \0/

I always use a torque wrench on them (actually on anything I can get in at).
Partly for avoidance of this such issues and also because the head is weak.

I must also say that Vocky provided me with support on an engine issue too. Though the fault was of my own making.

Vocky also diagnosed my old engine problem from listening to the noise down the phone. I think he said “it’s really fcuking fcuked that”.
