As above, im looking at pictures and assume you undo the bolts, interested in how the end slides off, is there a baffle tube within another tube that slides out as well? Trying to adapt my exhaust so it's repackable, any info and pictures would be really helpful, thanks

That's pretty much it, there are nuts welded to the inner one, the baffle pipe runs the full length diagonally (which makes it all quite tricky) across the inside of the can and slots into one at the other end.
Didn't take any pics when I did mine I'm afraid.

I found with mine if it suddenly got louder and not gradually one end of the baffle tube had fallen out and dropped down. Mine wasn't long enough and kept doing this. I had to replace it.

I would suspect that the rivnuts wouldn't be strong enough and they would be in the way.
It is a snug fit and sides over about 1/3 of the box. The rivnuts leave a rebate on the outside.
I've posted aload of pics when I reloaded mine, which should help you.
I think it was under '3" tullet"

Does it blow around the joint?

No as it overlaps quite a bit, possibly 100mm and is pretty tight
