Just acquired a 2003 VX220 turbo. Nice red with black soft top. 51k miles. Courtenay stage 2 upgrade giving 250bhp. Nitrons, front splitter and rear diffuser, Exige style spoiler, JK racing seats and 4 point harnesses. Team Dynamics 17â€/16†wheels with Toyo R888R. Grooved disks and Mintex pads.
Other than that fairly standard. Inside could do with a bit of TLC but no big issues.
Don’t want to put much money into it but probably get ARB upgrade and sort fairly useless heater.
Any other suggestions welcome.
Planning to use it for sprints, hillclimbs and occasional track days
Cheers
Don

Welcome,
I would change or at least check (if you have history?) the rear toe links and also the hub carrier bolts.

Why specifically do you want an ARB "upgrade" ?

always felt the ARB was an upgrade I had put off for way too many years based on advice on here.

Was also considering updating rear toe links but I don’t think that is necessary unless car is being tracked hard which I don’t intend to do

The rear toe links can fail with just road use , same goes for the rear hub carrier bolts.
May I suggest getting it booked in to a VX specialist , say Back on Track in Guildford and get an inspection and pre trackday spanner check. I think that will be the best spent hours worth of labour charge.

Welcome, sounds like a good car you got there.
I would change the toe links regardless of road or track use. Once they are done its a job of the list, if they fail you crash
