My traumas with tradesmen continues.....
As a result I want some reassurance on my opinion please.
If I employ a tradesman and he subcontracts part of the job out I believe he remains responsible for the quality of the subcontractors work. I'm faced with a guy saying 'well, it was them what did it, you should chase them'. IMO he is liable and should then chase them up.
Am I right or am I waaaay off?

Main contractor. I wasn't aware of the subcontract until I questioned it.

If you paid the main contractor, he is responsible.
