Hey everyone.

I'm writing this on behalf of Bruno, a French Speedster owner who has had a few issues with his SC layout lately.

He has a pretty normal 2.2SC running OBDTuner, the difference being that he has set it with Peter's help to run on E85. As far as last March, the car was running fine, then it got into a long pause. 

Since he has taken the car out of a break, he has had the issue of the car not starting when warm. Cold is perfectly fine, but warm just spins but doesn't spark.

He has inspected the air line, vacuum line etc, everything seems to be fine. 

He has tried to change both lambda sensors in hopes it would be related, but that didn't solve it.

Coolant temp sensor has also been changed, but that did not improve

 

So he is starting to run out of ideas. He has noticed that his combustion chambers were getting very "drowned" by the fuel mixture, so he recently took his injectors out to see if they were behaving ok. There he noticed that they start pulverising with engine off if he puts the heater fan on or the windshield wiper on, which as far as I know is not really OK. He is suspecting some form of bad earth, but before I start going through the wiring diagram trying to guess culprits, does anyone have an educated suggestion, or has seen something similar ?

might be worth checking the ECU plugs and the brown relay in the boot

Will relay that to him, thanks. Forgot to add that he changed the relays with new ones, then back with the old ones, then the new ones and the problem didn't seem to go away. I'll tell him to try again.

I'd also look at all the ground wires that were extended when the loom was modified for the supercharger. one of those could be faulty

I think Maybay the mainfold making contact to thé alternator.
Or it's one of the ground wire's, you need you check all thé wire's that are extension for thé supercharger conversion. It's possible one is came loose.

Shouldn't be too hard to track down if he can replicate engine off with flicking the HVAC fan on. If he suspects earthing, simple way is to get some wire and earth the ecu back to the chassis and same for engine. Keep in mind that the alloy chassis is often corroded or protected and hard to get a good contact too.
