What would anyone running Monos recommend as the ideal height and damping for UK roads please?

too hard on the front and you should notice the front braking worse
some tracks like Castle Combe you might want to have less bump resistance

When you say Monos do you mean Gold Pros?

Defiantly VX specific Gaz Mono. Not golds.

what are your spring rates?

I generally ran my Gaz Monos -6 front -8 rear. Sometimes I would soften them for the road but generally that worked most places.
My springs were 550 and 450.
My set up was stiffer at the front as I was informed that meant the front where you wanted it to be and then rear dug in. Didn't seem right when it was first done as my brain was saying heavier rear end stiffer at the rear but, it worked really well. Many who drove my car said it felt great.

Hi Martin,
I have these shocks with the same spring rates as you and have changed a few times to try and get right. When you say -6 and -8, are you starting with the hardest setting and clicking to softer?
I think the front end of my car is too hard and the front brakes are awful - although I hadn't realised that the shock setting would affect this (thanks Sizten). And my car isn't tracked.
I also can't work out how to adjust the ride height on these. Does anyone know how to do that? The car is in bits and shocks are on the bench so now is the time to re-set these...
And maybe I don't need to re-furb the front calipers, although they are out and on the bench too.
Kind regards
Roy

I still need to swap out the rears but the weather closed in and my gagrge is full of car parts so no room to work.
Took it for a blast and finally no crashy bumpy ride. Smooth over the bumps at last!

I would say anything over 350 is too stiff at the front for use on British roads. The rear is less sensitive due to the higher loads.
