Hi all,

I am looking at buying either a vx220 or an Elise. (111s or 111r)

Tomorrow afternoon I am going to look at a 242bhp supercharged 2.2, and tbh I’m 80% sure I’m going to buy it.

I know this is probably the wrong forum to ask the question, is it worth getting a vx220 over an Elise? Is the Elise that much better to make it worth the extra?

The supercharged one will obviously be a lot faster than an Elise.

I am not as interested in the turbo one over the NA, but a supercharged one sounds very interested. What version is considered better on here?

Final question, is there anything to worry about with the supercharger conversions in these engines? It is my understanding that the compression ratio is not decreased in the conversion. The one I’m looking at has a Courtney sport conversion.

Hi Steve,
Just incase you did t purchase the VX already...

Try both the Elise and VX, very similar but there are differences.
NA/SC/Turbo all have there own strengths and again down to your own preference. SC is a strong bet with a gd linear power line and is very reliable (all choices are till big bhp)

Seriously try each if possible and you'll find 1 fits your needs/wants.
