I am trying to find a manufacturer that can supply semi slick road legal tyres  175/55/17 or another size that will fit the original front wheels (e.g 185/50/17 I believe will fit)

I would be very grateful for a reply as I am at my wits end.

Thanks in anticipation, Dave

I thought it was 195/45 17 that were being used by some owners as a replacement for the rare 175 size

A few owners that use the facebook club page have made this change, post on there and you will get good experience feedback too.

Thanks

finding suitable tyres is the main reason owners change the wheels and why standard wheels are not worth very much

I don't think you'll find any. People change the fronts to 16" not only because theres a  wider choice of tyres but also because they turn in better with 16" on the front. Cheap way of doing it is with some Astra 16" wheels

:yeahthat:

There are 16" Astra snowflakes that are similar in design to the VX turbo wheels, spray them all black and you'll not really notice
