So as most of you now probably know the Vx has gone to a good home and I've replaced it with a lotus. It's an S1 fitted with a std K20 Honda lump. The work was all carried our by Maidstone sports cars.

I collected the car on Friday from Jon and finally got to drive it for the first time yesterday. I was pretty nervous about getting rid of the vx tbh due to the countless hrs and money I had thrown into it but the S1 was something I had wanted for a long time so I simply couldn't turn down the opportunity. After the first few miles I instantly knew i had made the rite choice for me.

Here's a few pictures of the car when I got it.....

I originally had plans to fit the complete motorsport body but if I'm honest i kinda like it as it is. So I think I will for now just carry out a few simple exterior mods to put my touch on it and then concentrate on the underneath and most of all enjoy it!! I've already fitted a rear diffuser, front splitter, and the elise parts small front number plate holder.

I will be fitting my Carbon reverie seats(just waiting on some fresh seat pads from Ross  ) and also of course supercharging the engine with a target bhp of 320-340 on a JRSC. I've already got the kit but hit a snag with the charge cooler unit as I pressure tested it and its leaking!!! so I've now ordered a Merc Racing inlet manifold, chargecooler and JRSC adapter plate along with there smooth flow inlet.

Great to see the new beast, looks like it already has a good base spec for you to work from.

Looking forward to seeing your SC go on.

Did you track the VX in its final form before it went? I was looking forward to seeing it :)

S1 looks lovely... looking forward to see how you get on with it. Sounds like its full commitment once again straight in with the SC 😂

I had a pile of parts here including the supercharger kit before I’d even taken delivery of the car 🤣. I took it to Blyton a few weeks before it went but that was with the std engine and m62 fitted. Jon now has the big boy motor fitted again 😎

Awesome 😃Jez BOT is just refreshing my car at the moment, nitron bearings full refresh, sus rebuilt subframe shims, EP Ultimate rack and spitfire brace all in one go so she will be like new. Down side i won't know what did what. I was interested to know if you felt any additional stiffness from the spitfire brace?

I need to get some mesh sorted to finish of the front bonnet but apart from that I’m pretty pleased with how it’s looking considering I’ve only owned it two weeks 🤪

Yer really please tbh fella. Keen to just get all under the back refreshed, doesn't massively need it tbh but once that's done the cars pretty mint. I'm hoping to plan a long weekend at the end of July/beginning of Aug to remove both clams and carry out the supercharger conversion with the Jacskon charger and MerRacing inlet setup. Will be good to test this before hopefully upgrading to the Harrop over the winter if money allows. Winter jobs will include.....

Rear suspension refresh

Fitment of RLM forged engine

Fitment of recon gearbox with Quaife diff and carbon sycro's

Paint/powdercoat all engine bay components

Powdercoat rear sub frame

Rework the fuel system to make it neater and incorporate a billet fuel rail

Refit a basic stereo system

The fuel pump is apparently already upgraded from std but wont be man enough for much more than the Jackson will produce so ill send it to Gary and get it upgraded further as per his recommendation

Fit 1" Anti roll bar

And if budget allows...

Upgrade to the harrop 1320 and remap to 380-400bhp

Fit 1000cc injectors

70mm Billet Skunk2 throttle body

Fit EP billet hubs

Fit Spitfire steering arms

Fit AP5000 front brake setup
